Present at BFRB Con 2026

We are committed to providing opportunities for scientists, practitioners and community members to learn and connect with each other. Our diverse and unique programme will include a number of parallel sessions aimed at different audiences to showcase the best of BFRB research and community-led initiatives.

We invite contributions from across the sciences, including (but not limited to) dermatology, hair & skin science, psychology, psychiatry, neuroscience, medicine, and the social sciences. Presenters are welcome to share their work in a range of formats, whether a paper, poster or a panel discussion (see suggested options below).

We also welcome abstracts from community-members and practitioners across a range of fields (therapeutic approaches, cosmetic and beauty industries, the arts etc.) to submit abstracts with their proposed activity, workshop, panel or talk.  

Abstract submission

Abstract submission for talks, workshops and activities is now closed. Outcomes will be shared by 5th June

Abstracts for poster presentation remains open until 31st July.

All abstracts will be selected by the BFRB Con organising committee, comprising a mix of researchers, clinicians and engagement staff, including people with lived experience of BFRBs.

We particularly welcome submissions from early-career researchers (whether undergraduate students, PhD students or post-doctoral researchers).

To be considered for a poster in a scientific sessions. please structure your abstract in the standard form: Title, authors, affiliations, introduction, methods, results and conclusion. (word limit 300 words)
